Description
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby present their first product for B&B Italia, the Zen-inspired round Tobi-Ishi dining table. Both designers are big fans of Japanese art and culture. The name and idea of the table are associated with smooth stones (tobi-ishi) used for decorative purposes in traditional rock gardens. The protruding tabletop and vertical trapezoidal bases, located orthogonally to each other, give life to a strict sculptural figure, the image of which constantly changes depending on the angle of observation. The search for balance between form and material is expressed for the Tobi-Ishi table in numerous cement materials, lacquer finishes, marble and the use of oak on the low table.Specifications
